Hello, my name is Dana. This
will be my 4th National camp, but it will be my first time staffing
one! I love travelling (honestly, I love
trains and I don’t even mind airports!) and I’ve been to Jamaica, Norway,
Brazil, Nicaragua, Mexico, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Monaco, France and
Spain.
I love music! I play the guitar and I’m learning
to play the violin. I also love musicals
from classics like Singing in the Rain and Guys and Dolls to more modern
musicals like Wicked and Chicago. When
I’m not watching musicals, I teach first aid courses and I’m a self declared
First Aid nerd. This fall I will be
going back to school to study Autism Intervention. In 1998 Carla did two things: she played "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" on PC CD-ROM and went to her first CISV village in Biloxi, Mississippi. While she doesn't steal precious artwork like Carmen, the rest of her life has followed suite along the principles of travel, cross-cultural education, and cajun food. She is currently living in Montreal QC enjoying the beautiful cityscape and life as a post-graduate. She can't wait to meet everyone this August!
WELL HELLO, THERE!
My name is Julia or j.shelds if you prefer. I live in
Toronto. I love to sing and dance ridiculously, eat chocolate, laugh, travel,
and play board games. The above photo was taken at Ottawa winter camp in
January, and I really don’t know why there is blue on my face. I do, however,
have blue hair! WEE HOO!
Other fun CISV facts:
My family got involved in CISV when I was 4.
I have been a part of 3 chapters (Waterloo, Ottawa and
Toronto).
I am currently the Sr National Junior Representative for JB
Canada.
Future Julia is not quite sure what is in store – the
adventure awaits!!!!
Hello Friends!
My name is Dow and I am JB Canada’s Jr. NJR!
I am currently spending my days
working for JB Canada and a land surveying company where we have weekly
scheduled elastic band wars. I love what I do and all the incredible
people I work with (I have to say this because I work with family). I
have been in CISV since 06 and have had the pleasure of experiencing it
on many levels. In the past I’m was a participant at National Camp,
Summer Camp, and Seminar Camp. I’ve also JC’d and was a Junior Leader on
an Interchange. I have also had some pretty incredible experiences at
many NBMs and SBTF across CISV Canada!
I am SO looking forward to getting to know everyone this summer! If you have any questions or concerns let me know!
Here's my twitter to see what I'm up to! @DowLinnell
Hey everyone, I am Cody Shantz and I am the
National Camp Coordinator. I am 18 years old and I am currently working at a
grocery store (Sobeys). In September I will be going to Conestoga College for
their Electrical Technician program. I enjoy playing all types of sports
including volleyball, hockey, soccer and snowboarding. I have been involved in CISV for 5 years now
and have travelled 3 times internationally for a summer camp, youth meeting and
JC. Last year I got lucky enough to participate in the National Camp and I’m
very glad to get to organize it this year!

Hey there strangers!
My name is Heather and I am super excited to be part of National Camp 2012! I’ve been involved with CISV on and off for 14 years and this will be my first ever national camp, so I’m pretty stoked to be part of the amazing staff team!
For the past three years I have lived in England, teaching Computers, Business and Economics to students aged 11-18, and have loved every minute of it! I currently work at a boarding school, which is like working at a camp, but with 420 students!
I love to travel
(I’ve currently visited 21 countries and hope to visit at least 30
countries by the time I’m 30), play cards and board games, take photos, take ridiculously awkward/ridiculously fun photos, the colour purple, laugh, read, swing on swings, meet new people, wish on stars, write letters, sing, dance and goof around!
Can’t wait to meet everyone this summer!
Such beautiful people!!
